A two hour intensive-theoretical/practical seminar about the basics of musculoskeletal prevention injuries.
The best way to deal with a musculoskeletal injury is to prevent it from happening in the first place and as statistics show*, back, neck, shoulder and wrist pain is a serious problem for the vast majority of people living in any big city.
You may think that you have to play a hard sport, or work in a factory or on a loading dock to severely injure yourself, but office work can be just as hazardous.
The NHPP intensive seminar will give you an understanding on how to reduce your risk of suffering a musculoskeletal injury on the job.
The session include:
- RSI (repetitive strain injury) prevention (correct ways to sit and use the computer)
- Common musculoskeletal injuries and their causes;
- Upper extremity and back injury prevention;
- Neutral posture and body mechanics training;
- Eye straining prevention;
- Strategies to reduce and prevent the risk of injury;
- Stress management;
- Exercises at work including flexibility and strengthening;
- Educational resource booklet.
The NHPP training and education program play a key role in the reduction of injuries and disabilities by providing information regarding injuries, prevention techniques, and ergonomic principles. It is designed for employees, managers and the general public.
